XPO Logistics has renewed its contract with Asda Stores to provide reverse logistics and asset management services for the next three years.
It means XPO will continue to manage the logistics for Asda’s product trays through a network of nine sites.
The returned assets are washed, inspected and reused for product distribution, or else sold or recycled, aiding Asda’s zero-waste strategy and ensuring eco-friendly recycling of its card, plastic and food waste.
Since 2002, XPO and Asda have collaborated to create bespoke reverse and asset management solutions and this contract renewal extends the company’s partnership with the supermarket chain to more than two decades.
